DiCaprio in sci-fi mode for Nolan's "Inception" (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Leonardo DiCaprio will star in "Inception," a sci-fi action film that "Dark Knight" helmer Christopher Nolan wrote and is directing.

The contemporary story is described as taking place within "the architecture of the mind."

Nolan set up the project less than a month ago at Warner Bros., the studio where he made his Batman films as well as the thriller "Insomnia." The filmmaker and the studio are aiming for a 2010 release.

DiCaprio next appears in Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island."
